Renter's Den Verification System
To help reduce fraud and give tenant's a peace of mind, Renter's Den has introduced a phone verification system designed to reduce fraud.
In order to be "Renter's Den Verified" the landlord must submit a working phone number that we can reach them at. Our automated system will make sure that the phone number is valid for the landlord.
Note: Only listings with the Renter's Den verified badge have been verified by our system. Although we try our best to reduce fraudulent postings, no verification system is perfect and 100% scam proof. Renter's Den does not guarantee in anyway that "verified" listings are scam proof. Users should still use precautions and be alert for fraudulent listers.
Benefits of Phone Verification:
- Renter's Den will have a working, traceable telephone number on file that can be reported to police authorities in the event of fraud/scam.
- Barrier against fraudsters and spammers away
- De-anonymizes users and reduces fraud.
